Estate Grade 38mm is £68 per square metre supplied and laid on a base we prepare; the 45mm pile is £79. Difficult access, heavy clay or full drainage work is measured and quoted separately after the site visit.

How long does an installation take?

Three days for a standard garden: lift and clear, base and edging, then laying, seaming and brushing. Larger grounds are phased so you always have usable lawn while we work.

What exactly is guaranteed?

Eight years in writing on the blade, the infill, our seams and the base beneath them. If a join lifts or the ground settles in that time, we come back and put it right.

Do you charge for a site visit?

No, not within forty miles of the yard at Marlow. You get a measured plan, a materials schedule and a written figure the same day, valid for ninety days.

Is it suitable for dogs and children?

Yes. The infill drains faster than soil, the fibres are UV-stable, and the whole lawn can be hosed off. Most of our repeat work comes from houses that have both.

Does it look fake close up?

Four fibre heights and a straw thatch are what stop turf reading as plastic, and that is what we lay as standard. Ask us for the address of a lawn we laid in 2011 and go and stand on it before you decide.

Home Farm Yard sits off Ashcombe Lane, a mile north of Marlow town. Deliveries and collections come through the second gate; visitors are welcome in the office any weekday morning, and there is always a kettle on.
